Hear from Jack,

a Junior Analyst Engineer

I'm Jack and I first heard about my role on a graduate jobs board. It sounded perfect to kickstart my career in data - the advert made it clear I'd be trained in the technologies the team uses and all I needed was good problem solving and enthusiasm.

When I found out I was being offered the role, I was completely ecstatic! I remember receiving the email while I was in the library but could barely contain my excitement. I had to take a little walk around the library just to calm myself down while I texted my partner the news.

Since joining, there’s been a strong emphasis on my development and upskilling, not only to aid in supporting on projects but also for my own personal growth. I have a lot of support in taking my career in the direction of my own choosing.
We had a team away day a few months ago to meet everyone face to face and show off some of the work we’ve been doing. It was great seeing the different projects our team was involved in, and I felt proud to be working in a friendly and innovative team.

The company culture here is quite modern and relaxed. Managers and team leads are friendly and approachable. My opinions and ideas are always strongly encouraged, despite my lack of experience compared to other members of the team. I've also found the work-life balance to be really good. I work from home and have flexibility in my daily work hours. I consistently finish on time and on the rare occasion I do work a bit later, I’m encouraged to take that time off either the next day or at the end of the week.

Overall, I'm so glad I joined and I look forward to putting what I've learned so far into action on upcoming projects.
