From here, I was given the chance to work as a Marketing Coordinator and move over to the Marketing side of the team.
Fast forward a few months, and I was given the chance of another promotion and training to become the new Marketing Consultant for framework agreements. NHS SBS funded me to do my Level 4 CIM on marketing, as although I have worked in marketing for more years than I care to mention, I didn’t have a formal marketing qualification. It was a great opportunity for me to learn as I worked.

What do you enjoy about your role?
I enjoy the variety in my role and the fact I am always learning – there’s never a chance to get bored at NHS SBS. I also enjoy building relationships. Where we mainly work remotely, our relationship-building is mostly done via Microsoft Teams and email.
What do you think makes NHS SBS different from other companies in the industry?
The people are what make the difference here and make us stand out from other organisations in the industry. Everyone at NHS SBS genuinely cares about what we do. I have also never worked with a nicer group of people over the course of my career. And the career progression is a great part of working here - NHS SBS really invest in their staff and promote from within. I’ve been promoted twice since I joined.
Would you recommend working here to others?
I would recommend people work at NHS SBS. We’re all treated fairly, everyone is lovely, and we get some amazing benefits – something I never had in other jobs.
