Who are we?

We're a leading technology and digital transformation provider, working with clients across the public and private sectors. We deliver services that are crucial to the running and wellbeing of the UK. From helping the government provide public and health services that offer more convenience and choice, to improving financial services to deliver fairer, customer-centric solutions. Our people are motivated knowing their roles have a genuine sense of purpose.

What's it like to work here?

At Sopra Steria, we believe in fostering a workplace culture where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. We have five employee inclusion networks, each with a passionate Executive sponsor who supports the development of the group and champions their agenda at senior levels.

How do we support our LGBTQIA+ colleagues?

Our PLUS Network stands for Pride, Love, Unity and Support, and is dedicated to supporting colleagues who identify as LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, and more) and their allies. It serves as a vital platform for:

  • Connection and support: Providing a safe space for LGBTQIA+ colleagues to connect, share experiences, and offer support in navigating life's journey.

  • Awareness and understanding: Increasing awareness of the challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals and advocating for changes that promote diversity and inclusivity within our organisation.

  • Education and advocacy: Educating allies and the broader business community on LGBTQIA+ issues, fostering understanding, and promoting inclusive language and behaviours.

Head and shoulders shot of Amanda

Amanda Snee

Senior Bid Manager
My approach to work and life is to do the best I can, to be passionate, empathetic and to challenge the status quo. In my spare time, I'm a volunteer Youth Worker for LGBT+ Youth Scotland, where I provide support on a weekly basis to young people who are part of the Community.

I wanted to work within the PLUS Network to enhance awareness of LGBT+ activities and to support colleagues who may have questions around policies, events and the wider LGBTQIA+ community. Chairing the network, I aim to bring knowledge, experience and passion, as well as lots of fun along the way.

Joining the PLUS Network was a move driven by a vision to rejuvenate and realign the network with our community's current needs and aspirations. Through rebranding and proactive initiatives, the aim was to enhance the network's visibility, making it a beacon of support, accessibility, and inclusion for our community and allies.

This journey offers a unique opportunity to learn — about the power of community, the importance of visibility in fostering inclusivity, and the transformative impact of collective action. It reinforces my belief in the potential for change and the role each of us can play in shaping a more equitable world.
