Our two-year Consulting programme is hands-on and challenging. Throughout three 8-month placements, you’ll work within one of our teams and have exposure to the full business life cycle. Placements can be across Pure Consulting, Business Analysis, Project Management or Business Development.

Ideal for those who are looking to explore business solutions and work with our clients to change the future. Within our programme, you’ll use your interest in technology to add value to projects and challenge current thinking.

The Programme


Your first placement will start as soon as your induction is completed, so you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact from day one. If you are keen to help our clients reach their goals and objectives in order to transform everyday lives then this is the programme for you.

To help you learn as much as possible about our business and our clients, you’ll do placements within a variety of exciting projects across different industry sectors, including: Financial Services, Commercial, Government, Aerospace, Defence & Security and our ground breaking joint ventures, NHS Shared Business Service and Shared Services Connected Ltd.
These placements will be complemented by a fast-paced, comprehensive and leading-edge personal and professional leadership development skills programme. It will feature ‘live’ case studies and give you access to some of our  senior industry experts. Modules will include:  
  • Generating financial value
  • Delivering operational excellence
  • Maximising people/organisational effectiveness 
  • Building understanding of the technology we use/sell
  • C-level selling
  • Key account management
  • Personal impact and influencing skills
  • Innovation and industry disruption
Attending our Consulting Development programme with modules on:
  • Consulting behaviours and relationships
  • Consulting methodologies and tools
  • Digital and business awareness
In addition to our thorough internal training offering, you will become an externally certified Agile BA and Practitioner as well as acquiring a yellow belt in LEAN.
Consulting Graduate
You’ll have a wealth of support around you from our Early Careers Team, who will oversee your development, to your placement manager, who will support you on a day to day basis, and buddy, from a previous graduate cohort, so you’ll never feel alone.

This combination of training, support and experience will ensure you develop all the skills you need to be successful and fast-track your career with us.
​​​​​​​Typical end of programme career destinations will include Project Management, Business Analysis, Consultancy or Business Development – at Sopra Steria it’s all about helping you to fulfil your potential.

Graduates on this programme will be expected to be UK mobile but we are interested in applicants who will have a home location in one of the following offices: London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester and Hemel Hempstead.
