I didn’t know what I wanted to do, so I tried a few things and picked the bits that I liked best along the way. I started on a Graduate Programme in Sales, worked as a Project Manager on European transformation and worked as a Civil Servant in digital transformation. Being a Consultant takes the best bit of each role and plays to my strengths. I joined Sopra Steria in 2021 because I could see that there was clear ambition for company growth.
What is the best career advice you can give to others?
It's fine to not know what you want to do, so take opportunities when they arise and be clear on what you do and don't enjoy about each thing you do. This way you’ll make steps closer to what you’re best at, while learning so many valuable things along the way.
Have you had any development opportunities since being at Sopra Steria?
I took part in the 6-month Emerging Leaders programme. The modules were really interesting and I learnt so much from the others on the cohort too. I feel that since being on the programme, I’m a more rounded leader.
Where is your dream holiday destination and why?
I would love to road trip around New Zealand, as it's supposed to be stunning, and I have done similar trips before in Iceland and Canada. I had planned the trip previously, but then the pandemic hit. I hope to find another time to do it!
