Employee Inclusion Networks

Our people-centric business is focused on living our values, so we're a fully inclusive place to work where diversity is valued as a strength. It means our people can have confidence in Sopra Steria as a respectful and supportive place which embraces all backgrounds and individual differences.

Inclusion is in our DNA. It's embedded in how we work with each other, our partners and our clients. So, it goes without saying how proud we are of our growing family of employee inclusion networks. Our networks provide a forum where relevant issues and different perspectives can be openly discussed, promoting better understanding and raising awareness across our company, and creating a better experience for all our people.

Founded by Dame Stephanie "Steve" Shirley in the 1960s, we have always been advocates of gender balance and supporting women to reach their full potential. In fact, our Women’s Inclusive Network (WIN) is dedicated to the cause and encourages people of all genders to get involved.

We're proud to be ranked in the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Women by Great Place to Work UK®.

Race and Culture Network
We know that being inclusive and diverse is an important part of being a great place to work. Our Race and Culture Network includes our Black Employee Community and our Multi-Faith Community. These communities operate together to provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone across the business to connect, share and learn about the cultures, perspectives and issues of colleagues from different backgrounds.

"I was honoured to be asked to be the first Chairperson for our Race, Religion and Belief Network and now, the Multi-Faith Community.  I believe a key success factor for our Network will be to take this seriously, learn from each other whilst supporting initiatives and making sure we have fun doing the work."

"I wanted to work within the PLUS network to enhance awareness of the LGBTQIA+ activities and to support colleagues who may have questions around policies, events, and the wider LGBTQIA+ community. Co-chairing the network community means I can share my knowledge, experience and passion, and hopefully we will have lots of fun along the way."

Armed Forces Community
The Armed Forces equip individuals with exceptional training, resourcefulness, and transferable skills – all fantastic attributes in an employee! But it can be difficult to transition from a services environment to civilian roles. This network recognises and embraces the potential of veterans, reservists, cadet instructors and serving spouses.
